WESTERVILLE— Anne Gonzales (R-Westerville) yesterday was re-elected to the Ohio House of Representatives. She represents the 19th Ohio House District, which includes portions of northeastern Franklin County.
“I appreciate all of the help that I received this cycle and could not have done this with out the help of my supporters.” Gonzales said. “I am proud I ran a clean campaign and did not resort to lies or mud slinging.”
The unofficial results from the Franklin County Board of Elections show Gonzales winning 58% to 42%. Anne received a record 35,783 votes, making it the highest number of votes she has earned in an election.
Representative Gonzales is the former mayor of Westerville and served eight years on Westerville City Council. During her time as a state representative, she has served as chair of the House Health and Aging committee, member of the Public Utilities committee, and member of the Finance and Appropriations committee.
A graduate of Otterbein University, Representative Gonzales has three children with her husband, John.
